Is there any other way to bridge the gap between God and me?
Man was separated from God and His love because of man’s sin and disobedience. Therefore, it is not by good works or good deeds that we can bridge this gap. There must be way of undoing what we have done. Absolutely, an impossible task. However, when Jesus died on the cross, he undid all the wrong that we have been doing and took it all on himself. For all wrong there is punishment, and that is what exactly Jesus did. Bore the punishment. By this means, the gap was bridged we got access to God. Our good works or deeds wouldn’t have undone the wrong, it would have remained there forever. Hence, Jesus is the bridge towards God. However much we try; we cannot overcome the root problem of our own sinfulness
